On February 1, 2021, the Ticket box solution began operating at POU Velika Gorica. The implementation project, in which Ticket box replaced the old system, covered ticket sales at local box offices and through a customized online store, article sales, service sales, prepaid card sales and management of prepaid accounts, enrollment in the Gorica+ loyalty program, and management of the membership database. After POU Daruvar, POU dr. Ante Starcevic in Gospic, and the Center for Culture in Korcula, this was the fourth implementation project that the support team completed entirely remotely without a physical presence at the client's location. After successful implementation in Velika Gorica, the Mojekarte platform is now permanently present in 16 Croatian cities.

The implementation preparation included: creating and administering the new client's initial database, installing the database on the professional data center infrastructure, user administration, access rights management, loading initial data, installing the production tax certificate for receipt fiscalization, preparing ticket and receipt print templates, customizing financial reports and other documents, programming seating layouts and adapting them for Covid-19 restricted sales mode. The preparatory phase concluded with software installation on the client's computers, followed by training for new users.

TICKET AND ARTICLE SALES AT LOCAL BOX OFFICES

For selling all types of tickets and articles (books, magazines, 3D glasses, etc.) at POU Velika Gorica box offices, Ticket box is used. Unlike the previous software, Ticket box enables ticket sales for multiple shows and multiple dates in the same transaction. It also allows tickets and articles to be sold together in one transaction. Within the same transaction, old tickets can be canceled and new ones sold, and any combination of services, articles, tickets, gift cards, and similar products can be processed. The great flexibility and logical sequence of steps in the Ticket box user interface makes the box office work faster and easier, enabling at least 600 tickets per hour.

To support the loyalty program and manage the existing membership base of users who use the institution's services or buy books and magazines from the Albatros Library, the Membership management module integrated in Ticket box is used. Since the membership base already existed in the old system, active member data was imported into Ticket box, and as part of that process, new codes for membership cards were created. An advanced multi-purpose card concept was implemented so that each membership card was also given a new property making it an internal payment method. Card holders can deposit funds onto their membership card, which also serves as a prepaid account, and use those funds for payments at the local box office and in the POU Velika Gorica online store. Funds on the account can be topped up and used in the same way as bank debit cards. The introduction of Ticket box also offered an opportunity to analyze the existing Gorica+ loyalty program and redesign it based on the new platform's capabilities. The Gorica+ loyalty program now automatically tracks cumulative spending within one year of enrollment, and based on that, applies discounts of 10%, 20%, and 40% on each purchase.

GIFT CARD AND PREPAID CARD SALES AND MANAGEMENT

Gift cards have become a standard product for cultural institutions. However, when we look at it from an accounting perspective, a gift card should be treated as received funds that will be spent in the future, leading to the logical conclusion that a gift card behaves very similarly to a prepaid account. The boundary between a gift card and a prepaid account, if it even exists, is very thin, so advanced software for gift card sales and management must also support the option of successive use of funds on the card (not all funds need to be used in a single purchase), and if so, why not also support the option of topping up funds. At POU Velika Gorica, all of these capabilities were implemented, so funds on a gift card can be used successively during purchases at the local box office or customized online store, and at the card holder's request, funds can also be topped up. Gift cards in denominations of 100 and 200 KN were prepared for purchase at the local box office and online, and they can also be used as an internal payment method.

CUSTOMIZED ONLINE STORE

The customized POU Velika Gorica webshop is located on a subdomain of the mojekarte.hr portal and offers online services for: user registration, ticket sales with print@home and e-ticket options, article sales (books, magazines), service sales (workshops), gift card sales and top-ups, and enrollment in the Gorica+ loyalty program.

In addition to credit card payments, the customized webshop also offers payment with POU Velika Gorica gift cards, and customers with a Gorica+ loyalty card can get the corresponding discount when shopping online.

ELECTRONIC TICKET VERIFICATION AND ACCESS CONTROL

Automatic electronic verification of all ticket types -- tickets sold at the local box office, print@home tickets, and e-tickets on smartphones -- is performed using the dedicated Access Control application installed on Android smartphones. The application supports online mode with real-time automatic ticket verification (phones must be connected to the internet), as well as offline mode where phones work locally without an internet connection.

Online access to statistical and analytical data processing is available in real time through the Alpha Analytics module. Results are presented in numerical and graphical formats.
