Ten gates. One system. Rain or shine.
Festival access is chaos by design. Multiple entrances, different ticket types (day pass, full festival, VIP, camping), wristband activations, re-entries, and 5,000 people arriving within the same 30 minutes. Our access control unifies all of it: RFID wristband scanning, QR code validation, barcode readers, and phone-based scanning at every gate. Zone-based access separates main stage from VIP from backstage from camping. Real-time crowd density helps your safety team react before problems form. Everything works offline when the field WiFi inevitably drops.

Supported hardware & partners
Cominfo
Turnstiles & paid accessSpeedgates, tripod turnstiles, full-height gates. Direct API integration for paid access points (toilets, parking, premium zones). Czech engineering deployed across Europe.
Skidata
Stadiums & large venuesHigh-throughput turnstile arrays for 50,000+ capacity venues. Proven at stadiums like FK Crvena Zvezda (54 turnstiles, 55,500 seats). Stadium-grade reliability.
Axess
Attractions & tourismAccess solutions for ski resorts, theme parks, and large attractions. RFID and barcode validation. Proven in high-volume tourism environments across Europe.
Third-party low-cost
Small venues & budgetsBudget-friendly USB and Bluetooth barcode readers, generic QR scanners. Plug-and-play with the mojekarte platform. Good enough for 90% of small and mid-size venues.
mojekarte Mobile App
Any phone, no hardwareTurn any Android phone into an access control device. Camera-based QR and barcode scanning. Works fully offline with automatic sync when connection returns. No specialized hardware needed.
Custom API
Any hardwareFull REST API for integrating any third-party access control hardware. Real-time ticket validation, bidirectional status sync, webhook support. Connect any gate, turnstile, or reader.
A dedicated professional device or your phone
The same app runs on two kinds of device. For high volumes the fastest choice is a dedicated professional handheld device, built specifically for continuous scanning. For smaller events, extra gates or a backup, the same app also runs on an ordinary Android phone using the camera. One technology, two forms, the same reliability.
Our professional handheld terminals are specialized Android devices with an integrated laser scanner, RFID antenna, and ergonomic gun grip. Scanning is instant, even in poor lighting. The grip reduces fatigue during long shifts. RFID support enables validation of wristbands, membership cards, and contactless tickets without a separate device.
More than 400 of these terminals are in daily production use at venues across the region today. Not a prototype, but a field-proven workhorse that keeps up with the busiest events.
- •Integrated laser + RFID scanner
- •Ergonomic gun grip for hours of scanning
- •Runs the mojekarte app natively
- •Fully offline capable
- •Drop-resistant and weather-rated
- •People counting with real-time visitor flow analytics
- •Advanced reporting and BI integration for data-driven decisions
- •Live security dashboards for police and venue safety teams

Why it matters
Multi-gate synchronization
North, south, east, VIP, camping. Every gate connected to the same system. A wristband activated at gate A is valid at gate C. Real-time sync across all entry points.
RFID + QR + barcode support
Wristbands, mobile tickets, printed barcodes. All validated by the same scan logic. Mix entry media types at the same gate without configuration changes.
Zone-based access control
Main stage area, VIP section, backstage, camping zone, artist area. Each zone has its own access rules. A camping wristband does not open the VIP gate.
Crowd analytics and scan reporting
Live count per zone, crowd density heat maps, scan speed per gate, entry rate per hour, peak load timestamps. Per-zone historical comparison across festival days. Data for safety reporting and next year planning.
Weatherproof hardware
Rain, mud, dust, heat. Outdoor-rated scanners and turnstiles that work in festival conditions. Because the show goes on regardless of weather.
Offline resilience
Field WiFi drops at peak hours. Our scanners and mobile app switch to offline mode seamlessly. Validation continues from locally cached data. Zero disruption.
BI analytics and AI predictions
Festival entry data feeds into your BI tools. AI engine predicts crowd surges, gate bottlenecks, and zone overcrowding before they happen. Historical comparison across festival editions reveals trends in arrival patterns, ticket type behavior, and optimal gate placement.
"We don't sell turnstiles. We make every turnstile, scanner, and phone work as one system. That's the difference."
How it works
Connect
A terminal or phone pairs with your organisation and event using an 8-digit code. No manual server configuration.
Scan
Professional handheld terminal, built-in camera or NFC. Result in under a second.
Monitor
Passes, occupancy and errors live. Reports and CSV export after the event.

Access control FAQ
Does access control work without the internet?
Yes. The app automatically switches to offline mode, validates tickets against a local database on the device and records every pass. Once the connection is back, the records are transferred to the server automatically and without duplication.
How fast is ticket scanning?
The result is displayed in under a second. The device is immediately ready for the next scan, so a single person at the gate comfortably handles a continuous queue.
What equipment do I need?
The flagship choice is a dedicated professional handheld device with a laser scanner and NFC, the fastest option for high volumes. The same app also runs on an ordinary Android phone (6.0 or newer) using the camera, which is ideal for smaller events, extra gates or a backup. Cominfo, Skidata and Axess turnstiles are also supported.
Does it work for general admission (no assigned seats)?
Yes. The app handles seated events and entry without numbered seats equally well. For general admission it shows the ticket type and status without a seat, and validation is just as fast.
Can I validate a ticket on exit and re-entry?
Yes. The app supports entry and exit directions and single-pass transitions, detects wrong-way movement and allows re-entry without invalidating the ticket.
What does the steward see on scan?
A full-screen check mark or cross in the status colour (colours are configurable), the event name, section and ticket type, plus the seat for seated events, and any special status (for example a senior ticket), with sound and vibration.
Can I monitor attendance live?
Yes. The dashboard shows passes by minute and by terminal, errors and cumulative occupancy. Reports and export are available after the event.
Do you support multiple gates and multiple organisations?
Yes. Any number of terminals and gates per event. A single device can hold profiles for several organisations and switch between them in seconds.
